Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Engineering & Documentation Review
Education & Professional Qualification:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Civil Engineering or any related field
Professional Experience:
•4-6 years experience in procurement within EPIC projects, preferably in oil & gas, construction, or industrial sectors.
Certification in procurement or supply chain management is an added advantage.
Geographic Experience:
GCC Preferred
Computer and Language Skills:
•Good knowledge of MS Office and Oracle applications
•Fluent in English – both written and spoken; Arabic a plus
Market / Industry / Functional Knowledge:
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
Experience in vendor evaluation, supplier negotiations, and procurement processes.
1. Engineering & Documentation Review
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to determine procurement requirements.
- Assist project engineers in preparing technical datasheets, and material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify suitable vendors and suppliers based on technical evaluations and in coordination with Procurement.
- Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) and POss.
- Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining required quality and specifications.
- If required participate as key member in selection of vendors and evaluation of vendors.
- Track procurement schedules and maintain documentation for timely project execution.
- Ensure proper material inspection and compliance with QA/QC standards.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and project-specific contractual obligations.
- Maintain procurement records, including purchase orders, delivery notes, and inspection reports.
